The Pork Research Hub is a bilingual platform designed to support collaboration and knowledge sharing across Canada’s swine research and innovation community.
Created through a partnership between Swine Innovation Porc (SIP), Prairie Swine Centre (PSC), the Centre de développement du porc du Québec (CDPQ) and the Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement (CCSI), the Hub connects producers, researchers and industry partners with cutting-edge science and practical tools and insights that support the advancement of Canada’s pork sector.
Why we've built the Hub
Canada is home to world-class swine research, yet for years valuable insights have been scattered across many organizations, channels and regions.
The Hub addresses this challenge by centralizing research results, practical resources and emerging innovations, so producers and industry can access trusted, science-based information. By working together - and alongside the broader research and innovation community - partners are helping strengthen coordination, improve knowledge transfer and raise the profile of Canadian swine research, both at home and abroad.
Built with direct input from producers and supported by a growing network of researchers, research centres and industry partners, the Pork Research Hub will grow over time into a comprehensive destination for articles, videos, tools and success stories supporting the adoption of best practices and showcasing the real-world impact of Canadian research.
Our shared goal is to help producers make informed decisions, enhance on-farm performance and advance the pork sector through collaboration and evidence-based innovation.
How the Hub Works
The Pork Research Hub is organized around two core areas: the Resource Library and Research in Action.
The Resource Library is your go-to destination for research articles, factsheets, tools and technical resources drawn from participating partner organizations and contributors across Canada's swine research and innovation network. Whether you're exploring feed efficiency, animal welfare, genetics or environmental sustainability, the Library brings Canadian swine research and practical resources together into one searchable, accessible place.
Research in Action goes beyond the library to tell the story of Canadian pork research, covering ongoing projects, emerging findings and the real-world impact of innovation. From webinars to feature stories, this section keeps producers, researchers and industry partners informed about innovation across the sector.
